Violet J. Becker (nee Schmidt) September 12, 1924 – December 24, 2018 Send Flowers Violet Jane Becker (nee Schmidt) age 94 of West Bend passed away peacefully on the morning of Monday December 24, 2018 at Ivy Manor in West Bend. She was born September 12, 1924 in West Bend to Henry and Hildegard (nee Peters) Schmidt and was united in marriage to Linus Peter Becker before he was deployed during WWII. Violet was raised in Myra.

After WWII Violet and Linus settled on a small farm in Lake Church. In 1960 they moved to the South-West for Linus’ work before returning to Milwaukee in 1967. She worked at Johnson Controls for a number of years before they moved to Minocqua.

After Linus died she moved to Rhinelander before moving back to West Bend in 2013. Violet is survived by her 2 children: Ronald Linus (Nancy) Becker and Cynthia Jane Becker, 3 grandchildren: Nicholas Ronald Becker, Christopher Lewis Becker and Peter Jacob (Rita) Becker and 2 great-grandchildren: Montgomery and Evelyn Becker. She is further survived by her sister Doris Gauger, 2 sisters-in-law: Audrey Becker and Sandy Schmidt and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Hildegard Schmidt, her husband Linus Becker, 3 sisters: Mary Ann (Alfred) Kissinger, Rosemary (George) Steffan and Phyllis Gahagan, 3 brothers: Donald (Jeanette) Schmidt, Harold Schmidt and Marvin (Delores) Schmidt and her brother-in-law Harold Gauger. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend with Rev. Jerome Repenshek presiding.

The family will greet visitors at church from 3:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. Masses or memorials are appreciated. Our family would like to extend a special and heartfelt Thank You to the staff at Ivy Manor for the loving and compassionate care given to Violet. The Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend is serving the family.
