Obituary for Virginia Irene Davis DAVIS (BENT), VIRGINIA “GINNY” IRENE Of Schoolcraft Passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 9, 2018 at the age of 93. Ginny was born on January 13, 1925, the daughter of the late Albert V. Kimball, Sr. and Isabelle Ann (Stevens) Kimball. She was preceded in death by her first husband Gerald Bent who she married in 1945 and her second husband Ralph Davis who she married in 1972.

She was also preceded by her brother Albert V. Kimball, Jr. Ginny worked at The Upjohn Company for 15 years and made many lasting friendships. She loved growing up and fishing at Gun Lake and “RVing” throughout northern Michigan. Her hobbies were beautiful craft projects and she could always be found working in her yard.

Ginny is survived by one daughter Cindy (Richard) Shattuck and one granddaughter Marcy (Michael) Charvat. Also surviving are three incredible great-grandchildren Carson, Gavin and Gabrielle Charvat whom she adored beyond measure; one sister Mary Purdham; one nephew Albert (Debbie) Kimball, III; one niece Deborah Linden; and a sister-in-law Mary Lou Kimball. In accordance with Ginny’s wishes cremation has taken place.

A memorial gathering and luncheon will be held from 12:00 to 2:00PM on Saturday, April 14th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street.
