Virginia Young Williams, 73, of Danville, Va. , went home to be with the Lord Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Chatham Health and Rehab, Chatham, Va. after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s.

She was born December 8, 1944, in Danville to the late Mary Meador Young and the late Thomas David Young. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Larry Holman Williams. Mrs. Williams spent her entire life in Danville, and was president and owner of Lava Enterprises (1979 – 2016), and president and owner… Read More » of Williams Transportation and Storage (1995 – Present).

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Williams is survived by her sons, Brandon D. Williams (Jennifer) of Danville, and Jeffrey H. Williams (friend – Tracy Turner) of Dry Fork, Va. ; her grandchildren, Jeff Williams, Jr., Ben Williams, Noah Williams, Andrew Williams, Mariah Williams, and Bailey Williams; her sister, Frances London (George) of Roxboro, N.C.; her niece, Paige Dalton; along with life long friend, Carolyn Jones. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 2, 2018, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services, Mt.

Hermon Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Highland Burial Park with Rev. Denzil Smith officiating.
