OBITUARY Voreta W. Jeffers February 20, 1928 – January 15, 2019 Voreta W. Jeffers of the Mt. Carmel community in Mosheim, passed away January 15, 2019. Voreta was born in Greene County, Tennessee on February 20, 1928 to Jacob Franklin and Pearl Frye Jeffers.

She graduated from Mosheim High School and the School of Cosmetology. Voreta retired from American Enka and Philips Consumer Electronics. Survivors include two sisters: Jackie Everhart and Shirley Jeffers; a sister-in-law: Dema Jeffers; five nieces: Linda (Charlie) Hayden, Theresa (Sammy) Brown, Shari (Claude) Carter, Rita Witherspoon, and Jennifer (Mark) Cowen; six nephews: Joseph Ferris, Gary (Kathy) Cox, Randy (Vickie) Jeffers, Craig Jeffers, Scott Jeffers, David Ferris; and special friends: Jack and Patsy Story.

Voreta was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob Franklin and Pearl Frye Jeffers; a brother, Gene Franklin Jeffers; sisters: Patricia Jeffers and Mildred Jeffers, Pauline Cox, Lucille Ferris, and Margie Blake; a nephew: Michael Alan Everhart; and two nieces: Brenda Burkeen and Tina Cole. There will be no formal visitation. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2019 at the Mount Sinai Cemetery with Rev.

David Gibbs officiating. Pallbearers will be Gary Cox, Randy Jeffers, Craig Jeffers, Scott Jeffers, Claude Carter and Mark Cowan.
