Wade Hampton Stogner Jr. 78, of Oakboro, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast in Concord. Mr. Stogner was born January 3, 1941 in South Carolina to the late Wade Hampton Stogner Sr. and the late Ila Stogner. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Gary Stogner.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 12568 Philadelphia Church Rd, Stanfield officiated by Rev. Dwight Mabry and Dr. Carey C Snellings.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include wife, Sue Stogner of Oakboro; sons, Chris (Angie) Stogner of Oakboro and Jason (Stacy) Stogner of Oakboro; sisters, Margaret (Roger) Parker of Concord and Rita (Wayne) Walter of Concord; granddaughter, Meg (Spencer) Mason; grandsons, Vance (Carson) Stogner and Jacob Stogner; and great granddaughter, Oaklyn Mason. He is also survived by sister-in-laws, Joy (Jr.

) Harris of Oakboro, Rita Lowder of Oakboro, and Joan Branch of Albemarle as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Stogner family.
