Obituary for Wallace Reed “Buck” Buchanan Wallace “Buck” Reed Buchanan, age 94, of Eldersburg, MD, died Saturday, December 22, 2018 at his home. Buck was born April 14, 1924 in Beckwith, West Virginia, the son of the late John William Buchanan and the late Pearle Jennings (nee Wilson). He was the husband of the late Oma “Lucy” Lucille (Segers) Buchanan who passed away on August 26, 2018.

He served in the United States Army Air Forces from 1945 to 1947, Second Lieutenant Navigator on the B-17; He retired from the Allied Signal Aerospace Company, after 38 years of service as a Design Engineer. Long Standing member of Elders Baptist Church in Eldersburg. He loved spending time with family.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing and bowling. Surviving are children: Donald Buchanan of Eldersburg, Keith and wife Bonnie Buchanan of Westminster and Nancy Moore of Keedysville. Brother of Ella Rebecca Glassmeyer and the late John William Buchanan, Jr., Also survived by 5 granddaughters, 12 great-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Sykesville, MD 21784(beside South Carroll High School) on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 6-8 PM. Funeral Service will take place at Elders Baptist Church, 1216 Liberty Rd.
