Walter Ray Hedrick. age 89 passed away on February 26, 2019. He was born in Rose Hill IL and was a Marine Veteran from 1946 – 1952 during WWII and the Korean Conflict.

In 1986, Ray retired as a local Teamster truck driver and moved to Dandridge, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents; George W. Hedrick and Vesta Mars Hedrick, sister; Lois King and his loving wife of 62 years; Ruth Marie Lemere Hedrick He is survived by his children; Vicki (Jim) Lundgren of Es, IL, Kathy (Milton) Bolger of Cedar Lake, IN, Mike (Sherri) Hedrick of Beecher, IL, Jimmy (Karen) Hedrick of Marshall, NC and Sandi (Mark) Genzler of Manteno, IL. , eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date during the summer. The family would like to thank the caregivers from Home Instead and Amedisys Hospice for the compassion and care given to their father. A special thanks to Shirley Carr for her love and kindness.
