Walter Virgil Young, 63, of Logsden passed away January 12, 2019 in his home. Walter was born January 10, 1956 in Toledo were he also was educated. He continued to be a long time resident in the area of Siletz, Toledo, and lastly Logsden.

Walter married several times, having only two children with wife, Susan (Cunningham)Young at age 21 becoming a father again at age 23. Later Walt re-married after divorce to Mary Toy and raised two stepsons. No other children were raised by Walt.

Walter entered into his career at Georgia Pacific Paper Mill at 18 years of age, and continued for many years until his retirement. Walter had a passion for Elk hunting, riding his Harley motorcycle, And BBQ’s with friends and family alike. Walter enjoyed a cold beer or two and had a good sense of humor.

He loved the outdoors and life itself, and in his later years as a single easy going man he adored his grandchildren. Walter was preceded in death by his father, Robert Young, a stepmother, Betty(Nealeigh) Young, and mother Earline England. All had resided in Toledo at time of their passing.

Walter had many friends and will be greatly missed by so many who knew him. (“DAD,WE LOVE YOU”! ) He is survived by his son, Jeremiah Young, and a daughter, Desiré Watson(Kevin).

Also surviving are stepsons, Eric Toy, Toledo and Kirk Toy, Yuma, Arizona. Grandchildren and step grandchildren include; Patrick Shawver, Jr., Robert Shawver, Holly Young, Makenzee Watson, Travis Watson, Maranda (Watson)Houck(Brandon) Walter is survived by one sister, Debra (Young) Bearden. A “celebration of life” memorial for Walter Young will be held on Sunday, January 27th at 1pm Elks Camp Ground community building north of Siletz.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Batemans Funeral Home.
