Waltraud (Wally) Luzina Branstetter March 14, 1938 – December 13,2018 Waltraud (Wally) Luzina Branstetter, age 80, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 and is reunited with her husband and family in Heaven. She was born March 14, 1938 in Bad Homburg, Germany, to Luzina Katharina Mueller and Otto Karl Braum. She married her beloved husband and best friend, Nolean Branstetter May 1959, in Bad Homburg, Germany and has lived in Sierra Vista, Arizona for over 50 years.

Nolean passed July 2015. When Wally’s husband served in the Army, she was actively involved in many military organizations. Before retiring, she was a successful business woman.

Wally was very active. She loved hiking in the mountains, riding her bicycle, exercising with the Silver Sneakers, tap dancing at Alma Dolores Dance Studio and playing cards with her friends. She was also active in the local German American Club.

She was an undeniable and devoted animal lover and volunteered her time with the Humane Society in addition to trying to feed every animal she could. She was wholeheartedly devoted to her little four-legged companion, Snowflake, and provided the utmost unconditional love. Snowflake would go everywhere with her.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. Family always came first. She is survived by her daughter Ramona Lanham of Sierra Vista, Arizona; sons Rodney (Ildiko) Branstetter and Raymond (Deneen) Branstetter of Willis, Texas; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her brother Claus (Sabine) Mueller of Usingen, Germany, brother-in-law Sam (Shirley) Branstetter of Wichita, Kansas; sister-in-law Ruby (George) Tyree of Bakersfield, California; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved four-legged companion Snowflake. Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1300 Buffalo Soldier Trail, Sierra Vista, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Border Animal Rescue or any other Animal Group or Organization.

Your laughter will sing through Heaven as it did on earth. Godspeed, Wally.
