Obituary for Wanda Hugh Thomas Mrs. Thomas, age 90, passed away September 23, 2018 at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice, in Albertville. She was the daughter of Hugh and Laura Ann Dean York. She worked for the VFW and helped with the voting polls at the Rec Center.

She loved any kind of sport, but especially Alabama football and Braves baseball, playing cards and gardening. She is survived by three sons, Michael Barry Cooley, Randy Hugh Thomas (Phyllis) and JT Thomas; three daughters, Jackie Walker (Neal), Deborah Lynn O’Donnell and Susan Marie Thomas; two sisters, Shirley Davis (Gene) and Deanna Mozley; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Reuben “Hut” Thomas.

Russell Dorsett will officiate the funeral, and the pallbearers are David Walker, Michael Walker, Joshua Mahan, Andrew Tibbs, Levi Walker, Hugh Mozley, Jacob Underwood and Jeremy Stephens.
