Obituary of Wanda Conaway Wanda Ruth Conaway, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Broken Bow, OK. She was born on November 22, 1931 in Idabel OK, the daughter of Lewis and Audie Belle Collins Browning. Wanda was a graduate of Valliant High School.

Wanda worked for several years as a secretary for the Valliant Schools and before that at the District 3 County Commissioner’s Office. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting and scenic drives around the county. She was a member of the Slim Church of Christ Church and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William S. Conaway and a step-son, John Conaway. Wanda is survived by her son, Billy Conaway of Idabel, OK; step-daughter, Brenda Schultz of Hill City, SD; brother, Jimmie Browning of Idabel, OK; grandchildren, Chess Carter of Wright City, OK, William Cade Conaway, of Idabel, OK, and Liam Paul Conaway of Broken Bow, OK; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Public viewing will be today, Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the fuenral home.

A private graveside service will be held tomorrow at the Valliant Cemetery.
