Leetonia – Warren L. “Joe” Hawkins, 83, of Leetonia, died at 1:05 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Salem North Healthcare in Salem. Mr. Hawkins was born March 30, 1935 in Washington, PA, a son of the late Walter L. and Nellie J. Gump Hawkins and had lived in this area most of his life. He had served in the U. S. Army in Germany.

He is survived by a sister, Martha Jackson, of Leetonia and a nephew James (Alice) Grubbs of Leetonia; great nephew, Jason Grubbs; Great Niece, Candace Grubbs; two great great nieces and one great great nephew. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2018 at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia, with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Salem Honor Guard.

Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Leetonia. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2018. The family would like to thank Es of Salem for their care and compassion while taking care of Mr. Hawkins.
