Warren Roberts III, 71, of Flat Rock passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock. Born January 10, 1948 in Atlanta, GA, he was a son of the late Walter Douglas Roberts and Zelda Bohun Drayton – Grimke. He attended U.N.C. Chapel Hill and received his B.S. from Mars Hill College in Mars Hill class of 1969.

He was the founder and operator of BRB Appraisal Services, and was a member of St. John in the Wilderness in Flat Rock. At Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College he worked as an adjunct professor. Of his many hobbies he excelled in Bridge and was a member of ACBL and he enjoyed singing and sang in the choir at St. John in the Wilderness.

Surviving is his wife of 49 years, Linda Prather Roberts; sons, Walter Douglas “Terry” Roberts II and his spouse, Mai, of Flat Rock, and James “Jimmy” Carter Roberts and his spouse, Angelika, of Wake Forest; siblings, Susan Roberts Bullard and her spouse, Tom, of Hendersonville and Douglas Lamar Roberts and his spouse, Lisa, of San Francisco, CA; grandchild, Alexandria Constantine Roberts; and several nephews.
