Wayne’s Obituary Dorsey “Wayne” Abbott, age 87, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 in Hope. He was born December 20, 1931 in Hempstead County Arkansas, to Walter and Thelma Anderson Abbott. He was a veteran of the United States Navy during the Korean War.

He was retired from Partee Flooring as Timberland Manager, and member of The Hope Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ann; one son, Dennis, one sister, Marcine Abbott, and his mother and father. He is survived by his two daughters, Marcia Ann Jester and husband Jeff of Magnolia, AR, Alecia Lynn O’Connor of West Monroe, LA; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Jester and Christopher O’Connor; two great grandchildren, Hays and Margo Jester, and special friend Elaine Esters of Stamps, AR.

Visitation will be 6:00pm to 8:00pm Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Hope. Funeral services will be Sunday, February 17, 2019 at 2:00pm at the Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Chapel of Hope. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of The Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home of Hope.
