OBITUARY Wayne Joseph Kraemer Sr. May 7, 1943 – October 13, 2018 Wayne Joseph Kraemer Sr. “Twane” passed away October 13, 2018 at the age of 75 years. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana on May 7, 1943 to the late Valace Joseph Kraemer and Ellaree M. Breaux. Twane spent his childhood with his loving grandmother, the late Ursanie Robinson Kraemer in Kraemer, Louisiana.

Wayne was a resident of Barataria for over 40 years. He was a loyal employee of Avondale Industries as the supervisor for the pipe division for 46 years. Wayne admirably served in the US Army from 1961 until 1964.

An avid fisherman, he enjoyed bowling and spending time with his family, celebrating the annual “Blessing of the Fleet” in Lafitte and his favorite holiday, Halloween. Everyone knew him for his wine and generous hospitality. A selfless and loving soul, he will be missed dearly by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those that knew him.

Preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Maude D. Kraemer, his brother, Jerry and Nelson Kraemer, and his sister Mildred Robichaux. Survived by his five children, Media Helmer (Keith Sr.), Wayne J. Kraemer Jr., Patrick Kraemer Sr., Shane Kraemer (Kimberly), and Mable Gearlds (Kevin); Grandchildren, Ursanie Clayton (Jason), Keith Helmer Jr., Tahnee Tetlow (Joseph Sr.), Arthur Helmer (Meghan), Patrick Kraemer Jr., Matthew Kraemer, Alyssa Kraemer, Ronald Kraemer (Aliee), Krystian Kraemer (Victoria); Great Grandchildren, Zoey, Annie, Joseph Jr., Lucy, Nathanael, McKenzie, Alex and Nate. Wayne is also survived by brother Larry Kraemer and sister Rita Mae Loupe, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services being held at WESTSIDE LEITZ-EAGAN FUNERAL HOME located at 5101 Westbank Expy in Marrero, Louisiana. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Visitation will be held from 9:00am-11:00am.
