William A. Fielder August 12, 1928 – May 10, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation William A. Fielder, 90, of Lansdale, died Friday, May 10, 2019. He was the beloved husband of the late Joan M. Fielder, who died October 12, 2013. Born August 12, 1928 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Frank and Veronica (Callahan) Fielder.

Mr. Fielder was employed with ASCAP for many years, retiring as a manager. Dedicated to his Catholic faith, he graduated from LaSalle College which he attended on athletic scholarship. Bill enjoyed reading the newspapers, especially the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News, and watching sports.

Earlier in life, he was active with his family’s theater, the Mae Desmond Players. He is survived by his sons, William F. Fielder (Nancy) of Perkasie, and Joseph J. Fielder (Diana) of North Wales; three grandchildren, James, Billy, and Alex; three step-grandchildren, Marianne (Jay), Gina (Joe), and Laura (Dave); and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Joey Fielder.

Relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2019 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave. , Lansdale, followed by the Prayer Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Mr. Fielder’s memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
