Obituary for William B. Storey William B. Storey- passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side. Age 86. He is survived by his loving children Karen Storey, Kurtis (Natalie Scaperdine) Storey, his beloved grandchildren Zachary and Alexandra Storey and his sisters Retha (Charles) Heintz, Geraldine (Tom) Staley, Nina (David) Anderson and Gayle (David) Bier.

Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by his wife Norma (2010) and his grandson Jacob Storey (2010). William graduated Joliet Township High School 1950, Joliet Junior College 1952 (Robert Adam Award) and Washington University Olin School of Business.

Owner of F.E Marsh Shoe Co. Joliet until 1974. He managed Todd’s Shoe Store in Naperville, Office Manager/Treasurer of Iowa Repair in Morris. And Business Manager of Stepping Stones, Joliet retiring in 2006.

Member of First Congregational Church of Lockport UCC. Army Veteran Specialist 4th Class serving in Germany. William loved reading, cooking and stained glass, but especially spending time with his grandkids.

The family would like to thank his caregivers Gerard Gumban and Vince Cruz and Joliet Area Hospice nurses Mary and Sue for the exceptional care given to their dad. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Road, Friday, January 11, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to American Diabetes Association or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
