OBITUARY William D Lunnon January 25, 1922 – October 19, 2018 William Donald Lunnon, age 96, passed away October 19, 2018. Don was born January 25, 1922 in Jamesport, MO to Homer and Flora Lunnon. He grew up in Gallatin, MO, enlisting in the Army after high school.

Don served in Europe during WWII. He returned to the US and married Gladys Boor in 1946. Don worked for the Kansas City Transit Authority as a bus driver for over 40 years.

Don and Gladys were active in the Glenwood Park United Methodist Church throughout their lives together. Don was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Gladys, in 2016. He was also preceded by his daughter Linda Sue Lunnon.

Don is survived by his children, Greg and wife Donna, Ed and wife Jan, Nancy and husband Tim Cain; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren. Don was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed dearly.

Visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home on Monday, October 22 at 1:00 followed by funeral services at 2:00pm. Burial will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
