William David “Davie” Van Alstine, 54, of Geneseo, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Hammond Henry Hospital, Emergency Room, in Geneseo. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Geneseo VFW. Cremation has been accorded.

Memorials may be directed to the William David Van Alstine Memorial Fund. Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, Geneseo Chapel, is assisting the family with these arrangements. Davie was born on May 19, 1964, the son of William Edward and Elaine (Ball) Van Alstine, in Annawan, Illinois.

He is a graduate of Annawan High School. Davie married Kathy S. Ireland on December 11, 2012, in Cambridge, Illinois. He was currently employed at Janda Motor Services in Davenport, IA as a truck and delivery driver.

He had previously been employed at MVP Pumps and at the Heinold Hog Market in Atkinson for many years. Davie was an avid bowler and loved to go to auctions. He enjoyed going to the racetrack to watch the horse races.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Elaine Wyffels, Geneseo; wife, Kathy, Geneseo; brother, Eric (Lynn) Van Alstine, Missouri; and sister, Ardith Mueller, Reynolds, IL. He was preceded in death by his father, William.
