William “D.D.” Martin November 30, 1951 – February 14, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Fulton – William “D.D.” Fred Martin, Sr., 67, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. On November 30, 1951, he was born to Manly Bruce Martin and Susie Newby Martin in Okolona. D.D. was a devoted father and a hard working farmer.

His larger than life sense of humor and outgoing personality will be sorely missed. He had a fierce passion for racing and hot rods, and he loved being at the tracks especially with his family and friends. D.D. enjoyed the outdoors and could be found on the lake fishing, boating, riding the jet-ski or his four-wheeler.

He was an expert mechanic and known as a “jack of all trades” who never sat still. Survivors include his daughters, Tangela Bobo of Tupelo and Lachrisha Hope of Parma, Missouri; two sons, William Martin of Guntown and Craig Martin of Guntown; twelve grandchildren, Kayla Timmons, Tyler Timmons, Cassie Dunaway, Blake Martin, Kyler Bates, Bobby Davis, Christopher Moore, Daylan Anthony Martin, Craig Evan Conley, Kendall Anthony Daniels, Khristian Hope Daniels and Jerrick Damien Martin; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Earl Lee Martin of Anniston, Alabama. He was preceded in death by parents, Manly and Susie Martin; two sisters, Hazel Yeager and Eva Mae Coward; six brothers, James Martin, Jerry Martin, Bruce Martin, Jimmy Martin, Terry Martin and Bobby Joe Martin.

Visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019 at W.E Pegues, Tupelo. Services honoring his life will be 10 a.m. Sunday, February 17, 2019, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Bro. Doug Vanlandingham officiating.

Pallbearers will be Daylan Anthony Martin, Evan Conley, Christopher Moore, Blake Martin, Kyler Bates, Bobby Davis and Tyler Timmons. Honorary pallbearer will be Kendall Daniels. The service will be live streamed and recorded for those who may not be able to attend at www.
