He was the son of Clifton Brown Jr. and the late Margaret Harvey Brown. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh, he never met a stranger.

He loved having fun and enjoyed being with his family. He leaves to cherish his memory his father: Clifton Brown Jr. of Mebane; two children: William Brown Jr. of Greensboro and Shemeika Brown of Charlotte; three grandchildren: William Brown III, Taliyha Brown and Tamiyha Brown; two brothers: Clifton Gerald Brown (Loretta) of Pleasant Grove and Gerry Harvey (Patricia) of Burlington; two sisters: Donna Richmond of Mebane and Wanda Daye (Steven) of Burlington and a host of relatives, family and friends.
