Yaple William Yaple, Jr, 91, of Houtzdale, passed away Friday, September 7, 2018, in Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. Born on October 8, 1926 in Stillwater, PA, he was the son of the late William and Bertel (Hayman) Yaple On April 3, 1948, he married Barbara Clewell in Rohrsburg, PA.

She preceded him in death in 2011. He worked at Yaple Farm in Kendrick for 48 years, and drove bus for the Moshannon Valley Schools. He was a member of the PA Farm Bureau and 4-H of Columbia and Clearfield counties.

He was also a past director of the PA Guernsey Breeders Association. William was a member of Ohio United Methodist Church. He is survived by four daughters, Janice Tekely-Yaple of Osceola Mills, Joyce Ann McElheny of Morgantown, WV, Jacklyn Cormier of Houtzdale, Carolyn (Carl) Lutz of Shade Gap; three sons, Gerald (Margaret) Yaple of Houtzdale, Curtis Yaple of Indiana, PA, Carl (Joanne) Yaple of Houtzdale;; and one brother, Harold Yaple of Stillwater.

He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Eva Clinbell, Lois Allegar, and Erma Eveland, and a brother, Wayne Yaple. Family will receive friends Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Ramey, and on Saturday from 11am until the time of services at 12 pm at the Ohio UMC, 2550 Ashland Rd, Osceola Mills, PA 16666.

Rev. Donald Smith will officiate. Interment will be private.
