Obituary for William H Jurgens William H. Jurgens was born August 24, 1945 in Beatrice, Nebraska to Henry and Helen (Langdale) Jurgens. He grew up in Wahoo and graduated from Wahoo High School. He served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969.

On November 7, 1970, Bill married Linda Kavan at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wahoo. Bill worked at various companies in Saunders County including Hellstar, Wahoo Built and Mead Pallet before moving to Omaha in 1985. There he worked at Tom’s Carpet and at Sutherlands before starting his own tile setting business.

Bill’s tilework can be seen in many homes and businesses throughout the state of Nebraska. When not working, Bill spent much of his time fishing. He was a huge NASCAR fan.

Bill was a member of American Legion Posts in Wahoo and in Omaha. He is survived by his wife Linda Jurgens of Omaha; sons Jeremy (Kathy) Jurgens of Omaha and Tanner (Amanda) Jurgens of Pulaski, TN; brother-in-law Gary Rezek of Weston; nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brother Richard Jurgens; sisters Bette Ray Rezek and Ruth Ann Jurgens; and sister-in-law Sandra Jurgens.

Memorial services will be held at 11 am, Tuesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Monday, 5-7 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in care of the family for a later designation.
