William Howard “Buddy” Terrell, 84, of Florence, passed away at his residence on Friday, February 22, 2019. He was a member of Glendale Church of Christ. Buddy loved spending time with family, loved cars, baseball, and Alabama football.

He was retired from Ford Motor Company and General Motors Saginaw Plant. Visitation will be Monday, February 25, 2019 from 1-3 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. in the chapel with Tim Grigsby and Ben Seigel officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park. Buddy was preceded in death by his father, James Homer Terrell; mother, Myrtle Smith Terrell May; brother, James Homer Terrell, Jr.; sister, Buelah Blalock; and step-brothers, Raymond “Doc” May, C.T. May, and Frank May. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Doris Elizabeth “Dot” Sharp Terrell; daughter, Denise Holcombe (David); grandsons, Adam Holcombe (Sarah), and Drew Holcombe (Alyson); great-grandchildren, Walker and Vivian; and brothers, Frank Terrell (Judy), Ralph May (Joyce); and step-sisters, Hazel Melton, and Patsy Canfield.

Pallbearers will be David Holcombe, Adam Holcombe, Drew Holcombe, Josh Young, Bronson Hanback, and Ken Davis. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, online at: stjude.org or call 1-800-822-6344.
