William Howard Crum, 81, of Raleigh, formerly of Cliffwood Lake, Vernon Township, NJ, passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 23, 2018 in Raleigh, NC. He was born in Salisbury Mills, NY to the late Harry Crum and Anna Beatrice Wright Crum. Mr. Crum was a veteran of the New Jersey Army National Guard and worked for 35 years as an electrician from Universal Manufacturing Corporation/MagneTek in Paterson, New Jersey.

He then later retired after working for Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pequannock, NJ for ten years. William was an active sportsman who enjoyed the outdoors. He truly enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends and family.

He bowled in many leagues throughout his lifetime. His presence will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held in New Jersey at a later date.

Mr. Crum is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marilyn VanTol Crum; children, Beverly Kelly of Highland Lakes, NJ, William Bryan Crum of Pennsylvania and Glenn Crum of Wake Forest, NC ; grandchildren, Jason, Kyle, Dylan, Spencer, Samantha, Rachel, and Kelcey; brother, Douglas Crum of Stuart, Florida/Vernon, NJ; sister, Reida Richards of Willingboro, New Jersey; a host of extended family and friends.
