William J. Killough, Sr., 78, of Grasonville passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018 at UMSMC at Easton. He was born in Albany, NY on September 22, 1939 and was a son of the late Durwood and Anne Maroney Killough. Mr. Killough received his bachelor’s degree from Wilmington College in Criminal Justice.

He retired as a Sergeant from the Maryland State Police and was the former Sheriff for the Cecil County Sheriff’s Department. Mr. Killough served in the U.S. Navy. He was married to Doris Killough who passed away in 2015.

He enjoyed boating, traveling and spending time with his friends. Mr. Killough was a member of the Maryland State Police Troopers Alumni Association and the American Legion Post 194 in Rising Sun, MD. He is survived by three sons Bill Killough, Jr. of Virginia, Brian Killough and wife Christine of Rising Sun and Ryan Killough of Grasonville, three grandchildren Joshua, Morgan and Justin, a brother Robert Killough and wife Sue of New York, a sister in law Margaret Killough of New York and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents and his wife, Mr. Killough is preceded in death by a granddaughter Jacklyn Killough, a brother Jimmy Killough and his former wife Barbara Killough. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 1 pm at the American Legion Post 194, 338 East Main Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911, with a time of fellowship to follow after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Maryland Troopers Foundation, 1300 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208.
