William’s Obituary William J. Prisco Sr., 74, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019 in Surfside Beach, SC. He leaves behind his wife Sheri DeZern, his son William J. Prisco Jr. and his wife Stacy Carter Prisco, son Keith Richard Prisco and his wife Suzanne Lopez Prisco, stepsons CJ and Drew Swank, and granddaughters Ashley, Julia, Lola and Olive Prisco. Born and raised in East Providence, RI, Bill was the son of the late Albert Prisco and Winifred (Pilling) Prisco, brother to the late Louis Prisco, Alberta Prisco, and survived by siblings Shirley and John Prisco.

Bill had a love for music at an early age. He took up playing the drums at age 15, with Jazz being the catalyst for his love of the drums. American Rock and Roll and the British Invasion fueled his passion even further.

He continued to play in bands throughout his life, spreading his love and joy with everyone he encountered. Bill loved fishing, especially trout fishing, even though his hook came up empty most occasions. He was a natural and avid golfer.

His golfing ability won him the Longest Drive Contest, winning him a prized frying pan. His love for golf also brought him to Myrtle Beach where he met his wife Sheri. Throughout the years Bill was able to perfect his craftsmanship.

He was a woodworker, glazer, tin knocker, and all-around craftsman. He was always there to lend helpful advice to anyone who needed it, especially his boys. He was always a phone call away.

Bill had an infectious personality, and the “gift to gab”. He took every opportunity to meet people at every turn, allowing him to make lifelong friends that will never forget him. There will be a Celebration of Life gathering held in Rhode Island this summer.
