Obituary for William “Ken” Smith Dateline – Waterloo, SC William “Ken” Smith, Sr., age 81, widower of Elizabeth Lothridge Smith, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019, at the Hospicecare of the Piedmont in Greenwood. He was born in Laurens, SC and was a son of the late Jesse and Alma Adams Smith. Mr. Smith retired from Suburban Propane as District Manager and was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Jacque Smith of Waterloo; his sister, Alma Jean Pitts of Laurens; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at 3:30 PM, at Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Laurens, with burial to follow at Rosemont Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2:30 to 3:30 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rosemont Baptist Church, 2267 Dillard Road, Waterloo, SC 29384.
