Obituary for William Massey Smith William Massey Smith, age 69, of Ashland City, Tennessee, died Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN. His remains will be cremated and a memorial service will be held Saturday, October 13th, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View. Family will receive friends on Saturday, from 1:00 pm until the hour of service at 3.

Mr. Smith was born on January 1, 1949, in Fayetteville, Tennessee to the late Malcolm and Wanda Cunningham Smith. He worked in the printing department for the Tennessean. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Smith.

He is survived by his brothers, Jeff and Ricky Smith; sisters, Kay (Alan) Ross and Suzanne Gammon; best friend, Pam Gatlin; nieces and nephews; Stephanie Jenkins, Gretchen Bowers, Brittany Wooldridge, Jonathan Ross, Heather Stewart, Cecil Gammon, Bridgette Smith, Kala Smith, and Austin Smith; and many great nieces and nephews. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the William Smith Funeral Fund in care of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View.
