William Ronald “Ron” Meadows, 74, of Columbus, GA passed away Saturday, April 29, 2018 at his home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm EST, on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel. Interment, with military honors, will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Mr. Meadows was born on September 9, 1943, in Santa Barbara, CA, son of the late William “Bill” Marcus Meadows and Wilma Lake Meadows. He worked as an architectural inspector in the construction industry for most of his career.

Mr. Meadows proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. He enjoyed wood working, photography and growing exotic trees. He is survived by three children, Deedra Meadows Fuller and Donald Cotton of Pine Mountain Valley, GA, William Darryle Meadows and Kim Mangiaracina of Columbus, GA and Deborah Meadows Carroll and husband Toby of Buford, GA; one brother, Joseph Lake Meadows and wife Faye of Seale, AL; grandchildren, Josh, Johnny, Miles, Preston, Abigail, Jessi and Carley; great-grandchildren, Dakota, Harrison, Ashton, and Evelyn; many other extended family and caring friends.
