Obituary Service Details William “Will” Lindal, 25, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away Sunday evening, May 22, 2016 from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident in Kewaunee County. Will was born February 11, 1991 in Lake Forest, IL, the son of Daniel Lindal and Mary O’Hern. He graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 2009.

After a few years of working locally as a heavy equipment operator, truck driver, and commercial fisherman, Will enlisted to serve his country with the United States Marines. He had served some of his four-year tour in Afghanistan before being honorably discharged in September of 2015. Will had been working for Pagels Farm in Kewaunee County.

He had a huge heart that he wore on his sleeve. Will was the sweetest, kindest son we could ask for whose smile lit up the room. He was always happy, loved being outdoors, and lived by his motto of “Run it”.

Will could fix anything, and if it was tinkering, fixing engines, especially diesel engines, he was in. And for those of us honored to have had him in our lives, Will was always ready to lend a hand whenever needed. He will be deeply missed by his mother, Mary (Jon) Bongle of Sturgeon Bay, his father, Daniel (Cathy) Lindal of Goodyear, AZ; sister, Megan Lindal of Sturgeon Bay; step-brother, Landis Lindal; step-sister, Gracie Bongle; wife, Amanda Lindal of Wilmington, N.C.; paternal grandparents, William and Joan Lindal of Sturgeon Bay; best friend, Nathan “Bushy” Bittorf of Sturgeon Bay; many loving aunts; uncles; cousins; and dear friends.

Will was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Daniel and Delores O’Hern. Funeral services with military honors by the United States Marines and Marine Corps League Door Peninsula Detachment 1130 will be held at 7:30 p.m., Friday evening, May 27, 2016 at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home, Friday afternoon, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services.

Committal prayers will be offered for Will at St. Joseph Cemetery, 3737 Egg Harbor Rd. , Sturgeon Bay on Saturday, May 26, 2018 with burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a veteran charity of your choice.
