William “Sonny” Hanners, 82, of Bangor, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 at his home under Hospice care. He was born September 28, 1936 to William and Gladys (Medody) Hanners in Hornersville, Missouri. William worked as a truck driver for Van Dam Trucking of Hamilton, Michigan for 17 years.

He enjoyed being outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing. William is survived by his wife – Judith Hanners of Bangor, sons – Tommy Knoles of Samson, Alabama and Tim Knoles of Daveville, Alabama, step-daughter – Carolyn LaRue of Toledo, Ohio, three brothers – Lester Hanners of Grand Junction, Charlie Hanners of Bangor, and Arlie (Nancy) Hanners of Bangor. Four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren also survive.
