William’s Obituary WILLIAM T. CAMPBELL STAUNTON, VA… William Thornton Campbell, 70, husband of Gladys Campbell, of Staunton, died Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Shenandoah House of Augusta Health. He was born August 14, 1948 in Staunton, a son of the late John Thornton and Grindelia (Varner) Campbell. Prior to retirement, Mr. Campbell was employed by Culligan Water.

In addition to his wife, family members include a son and daughter-in-law, William Edward and Kristy Dail Campbell; two daughters, Sherry C. Hollingsworth and Tammy Mae Campbell; a sister and brother-in-law, Shirlee and Richard Little; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and special friend, Henry Mullenax. In addition to his family, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald L. Campbell. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in Linden Heights Baptist Church by the Rev.

Luke Smith. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Church of the Brethren Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 on Monday (January 21, 2019) evening. Memorials may be made to The Big Truck and Auto Show, 21 Dick Huff Lane, Verona, VA 24482 or Relay For Life of Augusta County, 420 Neff Avenue, Suite 210, Harrisonburg, VA 22801. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
