Mr. William W. Taylor, 78, passed away peacefully at his home on the evening of Sunday, February 24, 2019. William was born on November 12, 1940 to William F. and Alvana (Shannon) Taylor. William was a life-long resident of South Bend and was the proud father of six.

He retired in 1998 from Mohawk Doors, after 45+ faithful years of employment, though not all of them with Mohawk. William was a member of New Creations Praise & Worship Center and cherished time he spent with friends and loved ones. He will be greatly missed.

William is survived by his loving children: Simone Taylor and Lisa M. Fields, both of Irving, TX, Cory R. Taylor of Indianapolis, William R. Taylor of Arlington, TX, David L. Taylor of Irving, TX and Kevin (Joy) Taylor of South Bend; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. William was preceded in death by his parents; sister Nancy Taylor; brother Robert L. Taylor. A memorial service will be held in William’s honor on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Home – West Chapel, 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend, IN 46628.

Friends may call on the family for visitation for one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Pastor Renee Howell Davis to officiate. Online expressions of sympathy may be left at www.
