The Palatka, Fl native moved to Live Oak in 2012 from Lake Butler, Fl. He was a Colonel for the Florida Department of Corrections and a member of Orchard Community Church, Live Oak, Fl.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife: Lynnette Wainwright, Live Oak, Fl; Mother: Wolverine Russell, Live Oak, Fl; Two daughters: Angie Smith, Lawtey, Fl and Michelle Oltmer, Lake Butler, Fl; One step daughter: Lyndsey Milligan, Jupiter, Fl; Two step sons: Jacob Wainwright, Orlando, Fl and Jared Wainwright, Ft. White, Fl; One sister: Teresa Lambert, Lake City, Fl; Two grandchildren: Shane Lariscey and Cameron Milligan; Two nieces: Samantha Helmick and Kelly Kirby both of Lake City, Fl. Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at the Daniels Memorial Chapel with Rev.

Eddie Blalock officiating. Interment will follow in the Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30 until service time.
