Obituary of William Cervoni William C. Cervoni, age 65, of Corning, NY died Sunday, February 17, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born on August 23, 1953 in Corning to Charles and Philes (Neally) Cervoni, Sr. Bill served his country in the US Army from 1970 to 1973. He retired from Corning Incorporated, Big Flats, in 2009 as a mechanic.

He married Susan Haynes on May 26, 2007 in Woodhull. Bill enjoyed classic cars and taking his vehicles to car shows. He enjoyed all the car shows on TV: Mecum Auction and Barrett Jackson.

He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Susan; daughter, Tracy (Joe) Palmer of Addison; sons, William Cervoni, Jr. of San Diego, CA and Shawn Cervoni of Tioga, PA; step children; Robert (Shannon) Babcock of Elmira, Aaron (Kimberlie) Babcock of Norfolk, VA, and David (Julie) Babcock of Howard, NY; sisters, Carolyn Cervoni of Painted Post, Marilyn (Pat) Frost of Painted Post, Darlene Cervoni of Painted Post, Julie (Daniel) Cevette of Carbondale, CO and Debbie Baker of Painted Post; brothers, Charles “Joe” Cervoni, Jr. of Marion, SC, Gary (Debbie) Cervoni of Addison, John Cervoni of Benton, SC and Alan Cervoni of Beaver Dams; sisters-in-law, Rita Cervoni of Painted Post and Mary Ellen (Thomas) Whiting of Kerrville, TX; grandchildren, Brett (Terra), Kayla (Joe), Autumn (Steve), Margaret (Zach), Kieran, Afton, Reagan, Merida, and Selah; great grandchildren, Blake, Grayson, Braelynn, and Pyper; and many nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his parents, infant daughter, Erica Lynn, and brother, Michael Cervoni.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday February 21st at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 375 Park Avenue in Corning at 2:00 PM with Pastor Greg Wixson officiating. The family will provide flowers and ask that memorial donations be made to Steuben County Office for the Aging, 3 East Pulteney Square, Bath, NY 14810 or to CareFirst, 3805 Meads Creek Road, Painted Post, NY 14830, CareFirstNY.org.
