Obituary for Willie Creed McCormick Willie Creed McCormick, 89 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. Born Sunday, February 10, 1929 in Spencer, Tennessee, he was the son of the late James and Lydia Dodson McCormick. He was the husband of Edna Luna McCormick.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sparta for many years. He loved to fish and enjoyed being a Husband, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather to his family Survivors include: Wife- Edna McCormick of Cookeville Son- Allan McCormick (Becky) of Davidsonville, MD Daughter-Tracy Burnette(Tim) of Lenoir City, TN Grandchildren- Brad and Brian McCormick Tyler and Tanner Burnette Great-Grandchildren- Madison, Gabriella, Charlotte, William, Foster McCormick. Haisley Grace and Mabry Kate Burnette.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Larry McCormick. Celebration of Life services will be held at 4pm on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Sparta with Brad Walker officiating. The family will receive friends from 3pm until time of the service.
