Willie L. Saulsberry Jr., age 71, was born August 21, 1947. Willie made his transition into eternal life on September 9, 2018. He accepted Christ at an early age and was an active member of St. Timothy Community Church in Gary, Indiana.

He was a graduate of the Theodore Roosevelt High School Cass of 1966. He went on to obtain a Bachelor’s degree from Lincoln University and a Master’s degree from Indiana University Northwest. Preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Emma Saulsberry.

He was a teacher in the Gary Community School Corporation for 43 years where he touched the lives of many young people. He leaves to cherish and celebrate his life, a devoted and loving daughter, Lisa Saulsberry, of Munster, IN; grandson, Josh Davis, of Munster, IN; brother, Lee (Jean) Saulsberry, of Gary, IN; sister, Geraldine Love, of Memphis, TN; other loving family members and precious friends. All services will be held at St. Timothy Community Church, 1600 W. 25th Avenue, Gary, IN 46404.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am (family hour 10-11 am). Funeral Service immediately following. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Hobart, IN.
