Obituary for Mrs. Willie Mae Harris Willie Mae Harris, 81, of Asheville, NC died Sunday, June 10, 2018. A native of Asheville, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Pauline Simpson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Willis Harris; son, Mike Harris; and two brothers, Joe and Clarence Simpson.

She is survived by her daughters, Polly Gilbert and her husband, Clyde; CJ Smart and her husband, Randy; son, Kent Harris and his wife, Sue; sister, Helen Redmon and her husband, Harold; brother, Bobby Simpson and his wife, Linda; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and her four-legged little boy, Scooter. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 14, 2018 in the chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. Clyde Gilbert will officiate.
