Wilma R. Hammond, 87, of Greenfield, passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born September 7, 1931 in Ramsey, IN to the late Robbie and Epise (Jacobs) Davis. Wilma had worked at the former RCA Company in Indianapolis and the Continental Bakery.

She was a member of the McCordsville United Methodist Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge #11. Wilma is survived by sons: Larry (Rebecca) Hammond of Meza, AZ; Jerry (Diane) Hammond of Kennard; Gary (Rhea) Hammond of Greenfield; grandchildren: Michael (Patti) Burk; Shana (Greg) George; Robbie (Tracy) Hammond; Matthew Hammond; Amanda Hammond; Christopher Hammond; Tanner Carter and Austin Carter; great grandchildren: Breanna Burk-Wirey; Samantha Burk; Niki Burk; Devin Hammond; Blane Hammond; Nolan Hammond; Crosby Hammond; Grace Fausnaugh; Ava Fausnaugh; Ashley George; Nick George; great-great grandson: Traycen George; sisters: Carol Gaither of Corydon and Linda (Charlie) Summers of Indianapolis; brother: Paul (Sandy) Davis of Fairland; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Hammond (USMC) in 1994; daughters: Phyllis Burk and Sandy Hammond; grandson Tyler Carter and several brothers and sisters.

Friends may call on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 from 4 to 8 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. A celebration of Wilma’s life will take place on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 11:00 am/at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery.
