ARTHUR COUCH “A.C.” TRICKEY age 84, of 1993 McGhees Mill Road, Roxboro, NC died Sunday afternoon, February 17, 2019 at Duke Regional Hospital. Mr. Trickey was born October 10, 1934 in Halifax County, VA son of the late John David & Kate Morris Trickey and was husband of 63 years to Carol Tatum Trickey who survives. He was retired from Public Service Gas Company after 35 years of service, was owner of Trickey Enterprise, worked with State Construction, was a member of Lamberth Memorial Baptist Church, and was a veteran of the US Army.

A.C. loved the outdoors, old tractors and spending time with his family. Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, David C. Trickey & wife, Karen, Cheryl T. Tingen & husband, David all of Roxboro, NC, brother, David Morrell Trickey & wife, Mageline of Quinton, VA, two grandchildren, Kayleigh Trickey, Danielle Dixon, three step-grandchildren, Blake Tingen, Michelle Tingen, Preston Tingen, and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Trickey is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Henry Trickey, and sister, Elizabeth T. Whitlow.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Lamberth Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Gerald Thomas and the Rev. Jonathon Shattuck officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and guests Wednesday from 12:00 till 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church and other times at the home. Pallbearers will be Billy Brewer, W.F. Cox, Jerry Davis, Chris Dixon, Brian Lunsford, and David John Trickey.

Honorary pallbearers will be employees of State Construction and the Eddie Perkins Sunday School Class. Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions may be made to the Lamberth Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund c/o Cheryl Tingen, P.O. Box 1375, Roxboro, NC 27573. Arrangements are by Strickland and Jones Memorial Funeral Services, 1810 Durham, Road, Roxboro, NC 27573.
