Obituary for Adeline M. Mercaldi Adeline M. Mercaldi, 97, of Meriden passed away at the Summit at Plantsville on Sunday April 22, 2018. She was the wife of the late Anthony Mercaldi, Jr. Born in Southington on February 20, 1921, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Mongillo) Mongillo. Adeline graduated from Lewis High School in 1939.

She enjoyed knitting, reading and hosting family gatherings. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.

Adeline is survived by a son Joseph Mercaldi of Heath, MA, a daughter Rosemary Savoy of Plantsville; grandchildren Peter Savoy Jr. and wife Marina, Jennifer Ramella and husband Steve, Elizabeth Mercaldi and Shannon Savoy: great grandchildren Sarah, Joshua, Dominic, Anthony, Mason and Gabriella as well as her sister-in-law Carmel Buchoz and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by sisters Caroline O’Donnell, Rose Matzak, Mary Keegan, her son in law Peter Savoy Sr. and grandson Bryan Savoy. Her family would like to thank all the staff at the Summit at Plantsville for their compassion and understanding while caring for Adeline.

Her Funeral will be on Friday, April 27th at 10 am from DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. in Southington to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Meriden at 11 am. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meriden.
