Agnes’ Obituary Agnes E. Steckbauer, of Harshaw, died on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital, she was 99 years old. She was born on Monday, May 5, 1919 in the Town of Rolling, a daughter of Frank and Nancy (Noe) Fellner. On June 9, 1936 she married Ambrose Steckbauer.

He preceded her in death on August 29, 1994. Agnes and her husband farmed in the Town of Aniwa for twenty-four years. They then moved to the Town of Woodboro in 1960.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and gardening. She also was a “Pink Lady”, a volunteer at the nursing homes in Rhinelander. Agnes was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church.

Survivors include three sons; Peter Steckbauer of Harshaw, Daniel (Katie) Steckbauer of Combined Locks, Wisconsin, Steve Steckbauer of Yuba City, California, daughter-in-law; Patricia Steckbauer of Rhinelander, three daughters; Janet (Harold) Resch of Crandon, Judith (Charles) Grall of Pulaski, Wisconsin, Virginia (Jim) Carson of Springfield, Missouri and former daughter-in-law; Debra of Rhinelander. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son; Richard, one grandson; Paul Allen Steckbauer, one great-granddaughter; Katie Steckbauer, daughter-in-law; Donna Steckbauer and a brother; James (Margaret) Fellner. The visitation for Agnes will take place on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church located at the corner of Conro and King Street, from 9:30 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Fr.

Mike Tupa will be officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Union Grove Cemetery, Harshaw.
