Albert P. “Bud” Rippel, age 93, of Forward Twp. , passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at The Residence at Hilltop. He was a retired farmer at Rippel Farm in Forward Twp.

and a retired director and treasurer of Old Elizabeth Mutual Fire Insurance Company where he served for 28 years. He was a member of the Stephen Bayard Masonic Lodge #526 of Elizabeth, the Washington County Farmer’s Association and a former member of the Round Hill Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth Twp. Born August 16, 1925 in Forward Twp.

, he was a son of the late William C. and Gertrude L. (Tarr) Rippel. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lucy S. (Swisher) Rippel; daughters, Nancy Ann (Kenneth) Hall of Picayune, MS and Cindy Lou Halliday of Acworth, GA; sons, Ronald A. (Debbie) Rippel and C. David Rippel, both of Forward Twp. ; eight grandchildren, Summer (Jonathan) Pepe of Elizabeth Twp.

, Joel (Julie Anne) Rippel of Forward Twp. , Kristine (Blake) Gibasiewicz of White Oak, Jason and Jeremy Rippel, both of Forward Twp. , Douglas (Kristen Hunter) Hall of Midland, TX, Julie (Trent) Marchman of Jackson, MS and Logan Halliday of Acworth, GA; two great-grandchildren, Parker David Pepe and James David Rippel; sister, Lois J. Laird of Bentleyville; also nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Margaret J. Tignanelli, Minnie M. Lehman, Martha I. Briegel, Grace P. Rippel and S. Ruth McGowan; brothers, Charles C. Rippel, William C. Rippel II, John Tarr Rippel, Christy “Tim” Rippel, Ralph Rippel and Lawrence H. Rippel. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to OSPTA Hospice and the staff at The Residence at Hilltop. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8PM.

A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 10AM in the funeral home chapel with Chaplain Donna Schmoyer officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
