Kenneth E. Beal, 83 years old, of Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania, died December 21, 2018 at the Jefferson Hills Nursing Home, in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Edgar and Florence (nie Murray) Beal, born June 1, 1935 in the Connellsville, Pennsylvania. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Thomas and Jay.

He is survived by his wife, Joan (nie Paul) Beal, whom he married June 30, 1961. Also survived by his son, Paul M. Beal of Spokane, Washington; sisters, Sharon Reel of Naples, Florida, Barbara Tissue of Erie, Pennsylvania, and Elaine Goecke of Naples, Florida. Kenneth was a graduate of Connellsville High School, class of 1953 and California State Teachers College, class of 1959.

He was employed as a physics teacher by the West Jefferson Hills School District from 1959 to 1984. He was an amateur radio operator WCZCO, and a member of the Somerset Co. Radio Club. A member of the Greenville Lutheran Church, near Pocahontas, Pennsylvania, where he served as councilman, adult class teacher and choir member.

He was also a member of the Somerset Co. Barbershop Chorus, Maple Pageant Chorus, Meyersdale Men’s Chorus, Meyersdale COB cantata choir, and Salisbury Sportsmen’s Club. There will be no visitation or service at this time.
