Borst October 30, 1942 – March 10, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card Alberta Jane (Stevens) Borst- passed away peacefully at her home in Lake George, MI on March 10th, 2019. She was born on October 30th, 1942 in Reed City to parents Lyle Edward and June Sabinah (Brown) Stevens. She married the love of her life, Charles A. Borst, on July 24, 1965.

She and Charles moved to Lapeer County to raise their three children, and after her retirement they moved to Clare County to live in their dream home. Alberta loved to fish, crochet, travel, bird watch, and shop, especially for others. Her family and friends meant the world to her, and she gave so much to them selflessly.

Alberta was preceded in death by her husband Charles, her parents, a brother Harvey, and a great-granddaughter Alexis. She is survived by her three daughters; Laura Mansfield and husband John of Edwardsburg, Royce Watts of Davison, Jennie Morley of Bon Aqua TN, her grandchildren; Martella Jane (Robert) Busch, Shanna (Sean) Whitman, Veronica (Jordan) Martin, Tyler Morley, Sarah Morley, and nine very special great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 16th, at 11:00 AM, at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart, MI.

Alberta’s family would like to thank Mid Michigan Hospice for all their love, kindness, and care. Memorial considerations in lieu of flowers may be made to Mid Michigan Hospice.
