Mr. Alex “June” Scott, Jr. 76, of Maxton, NC departed this life on June 16, 2018 at home. He is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Eula Mae Scott; his parents, Alex Scott and Carrie Mae Hunt; mother of his childhood home, Cleadis Scott; one son, Larry Scott; five sisters, Earlene Hunt, Linda Locklear, Della Locklear, Zula Jones and Mandy Locklear. He is survived by his children, Carl (Christy) Scott of Ash, NC, Ronnie (Sonia) Scott of Maxton, NC, Ricky Scott and Jody Scott both of the home; four brothers, Bracey (Ethel) Scott of Maxton, NC, Clyde (Monie Gray) Hunt of Kenley, NC, Larry (Mona Gail) Hunt of Smithfield, NC and Kevin (Amy) Hunt of Georgia; nine sisters, Frieda (Steve) Scott of Rowland, NC, Lessie Locklear, Rhonda Scott, Shirley Scott and Lori (Willie) Hunt all of Maxton, NC, Rose Deese, Elain (Mark) McGirt and Angie (James) Hunt all of Fairmont, NC and Priscilla Driggers of Laurinburg, NC; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

June was a papa to many in the community. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
