Born in Honolulu, she was a retired manager for Roberts Hawaii and a volunteer facility administrator at the Cooper Center in Volcano.

A celebration of her life will take place from 12 noon Sunday (April 7, 2019) at the Cooper Center in Volcano. Casual attire. Survived by husband, Frederick Machado of Volcano; son, Alden Machado of Waikele; daughter, Candace (Thomas) Escritor of Hilo; brother, Ernest (Cheryl) Fontes of Pearl City; caregiver, Henrylene Kaapana of Volcano; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews.
