Obituary for Alice Helen “Mam” Stephens Alice Helen “Mam” Stephens, Mam went to be with the Lord on October 30, 2018. She was born November 27, 1920. Funeral will be on Saturday, November 3 at 2:30 p.m., at Heidelberg Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 1:30.

Bro. Bill Bolton and Rev. Hugh Acton will officiate.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Elwood Stephens, parents, Mary “Mellie” Welborn Bates, Homer Ulmer, and step-father William “Willie” Bates; and siblings Maxine Ulmer Rivers, Justine Ulmer Skipper, Eloise Bates Mathews, Bonnie Bates Roney, Sherman “Buck” Bates, Wilbur Bates and Charles Bates. Helen is survived by her four children: Linda (David) DeBruycker, Lancaster, SC, Franklin “Steve” Stephens, Inman SC, Mary “Kathy” (Thomas) Bonner, Heidelberg, MS and William (Kris) Stephens, Jupiter FL; and siblings: Grace Reynolds, Dorothy Holifield and Paul Bates. Her grandchildren are Cara (Doug) Ankney, Lititz, PA.

, Steven DeBruycker, Taylors SC, Jenna Stephens, Indianapolis, IN, JoAnn (Kevin) Bridwell, Prairieville LA, Kim (David) Hand, Park City, Utah, Corey Stephens, Dalton and Lindsey McNeil, Jupiter, FL. Her great-grandchilden are Conner, Carson, Christian and Copper Ankney, Dylan and Jaina Bridwell and David Hand. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

The family expresses their sincere thanks and gratitude to all of the staff at Southern Care especially, Tammy, Derrill, Laura and Laurie. Pallbearers will be Richard Bates, Robert Bates, Stanley Harrell, Aubrey Reynolds, Mark Reynolds and Mark Tucker. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heidelberg Baptist Church or Heidelberg Presbyterian Church in Heidelberg, MS.
