Obituary for Richard Kernell Lowe Richard Kernell Lowe, age 67, passed away on December 29, 2018. He was born June 30, 1951. Mr. Lowe was a teacher with the Jones County School System prior to his retirement.

He loved gardening, was an expert cook, and loved to travel. He also enjoyed helping his mother in her store “Lowe’s Mini Mart” when she was living. He was very kind-hearted to everyone and to know him was to love him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles J. Lowe and Valelis Gieger Lowe; and brother, Gary Lowe. He is survived by two sisters, Betty Boutwell (Norman “Wayne” Smith) of Sharon and Charlene Huddleston of Sharon; one nephew, Josh Pearson (Denise) of Sharon; and a host of nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Memory Chapel.

Visitation will begin at 1:30 with the service following at 3 p.m. Interment will be at Shady Grove Cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Holder will officiate.
